The Wanshan Lake Scenic Area is a combination of many scenic spots with special characters. The steep Jingzi Mountain has several majestic Daoism Temples on it and Jingzi Temple Fair is held here on each March 3rd of the lunar calendar, quite influential within the counties and cities nearby. The Daimei Mountain, 1346 meters above the sea level, which rises up abruptly like a tumbledown tower, has a spacious and smooth top with flourishing trees and flowers like a natural meadow of European style. Qingyao Mountain, the Natural Reserve of Giant Salamanders approved in 1991 by the State Environmental Protection Administration of China, is a scenic resort of the provincial level with fancy

peaks and green ponds featured by quietness, peculiarity and elegance. The Shizu Mountain, the former residence of the Emperor Huangdi (the Yellow Emperor), has more than 90 primitive caves in the cliff wall of the north side while overlooks a vast lake of green water embraced by mountains, just like the Yingzui Mountain not far away. What’s more, the Wanshan Lake Scenic Area boasts  the Shuanglong Great Valley with deep gully, clean ponds, springs and rushing waterfalls, as well as the Longtan Valley and the Daimei Valley which joins together to make a charming landscape painting of northern China.
