Henan Tourism Bureau, directly under the administration of Henan Provincial Government, is responsible for the provincial tourism.
Duties:
1. Henan Tourism Bureau shall carry out the national policies, laws and regulations on tourism, and work out the policies and plans on tourism development and supervise the implementation. Henan Tourism Bureau shall formulate the provincial standards on tourism facilities and services and supervise the implementation.
2. Henan Tourism Bureau shall work out the developing strategies on the global tourism market, publicize the image of Henan tourism, organize tourism promotions and the development of new tourism products of Henan Province. Henan Tourism Bureau shall study and work out the provincial strategic measures on domestic market, develop and improve the domestic market and instruct the local tourism development.
3. Henan Tourism Bureau shall assist the provincial strategy-making departments to examine the investments of tourism development funds from Henan Province and central government, instruct and supervise the development and constructions of key tourism areas of Henan Province. Henan Tourism Bureau shall be in charge of utilization of foreign funds and social investments on tourism and the survey on tourism resources and statistics.
4. Henan Tourism Bureau shall examine, approve and govern the tourism-related enterprises or public institutions including international or domestic travel agencies, star hotels, transportation companies related to foreign affairs, special tourism units, etc, and coordinate affairs on provincial tourism traffic, insurance and entertainment. Besides, Henan Tourism Bureau shall supervise and examine the tourism market and the services.
5. Henan Tourism Bureau shall administrate applications of Henan residents to travel in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, overseas and other special regions, be in charge of foreign affairs related to the tourism and the issue of tourism visas. Moreover, Henan Tourism Bureau shall instruct the cultural progress of Henan tourism.
6. Henan Tourism Bureau shall supervise and examine the financial affairs of tourism enterprises of the Province.
7. Henan Tourism Bureau shall organize the training of tourism professionals and their qualification tests, and instruct the operation of tourism educational institutions of the Province.
8. Henan Tourism Bureau shall carry out other assignments of the provincial government. |
